Dr Rajlakshmi Darbari Ph.D., USA and Dr Janis Darbari Ph.D. USA did their schooling from Mater Dei Convent School (New Delhi India.)
They Graduated From Lady Shri Ram College New Delhi India.
They did their diploma in journalism from the London School of Journalism.
Rajlakshmi and Janis co-authored the books - Indira Gandhi,s 1028 days and Commonwealth and Nehru. H.M. Queen Elizabeth II sent her best wishes for the book " Commonwealth and Nehru". this book was released in India during The Queen's Historic visit in 1983.
Rajlakshmi Darbari and Janis Darbari have done many TV programmes for the Vision of Asia in the USA and Doordarshan in India. They Made their debut in the film world with their one and half hour documentary on Non-Resident Indians-"My India".
Janis now-a days is popular with many Forums, and has been invited to speak on various issues from Politics, Economics, Social reforms and the need for social revolution. Janis also published and wrote the books on Srimanta Sankaradeva.
During early childhood the Darbari Sisters expressed themselves by acting and directing plays with the Yatrik theatre's young stagers club of which they were also amongst the founding members.
Dr. Rajlakshmi and Dr.Janis are the daughters of Prof. Shatrughan Sarup Darbari, formerly India's trade representative at Belgrade and Mrs. Shelia Darbari is the daughter of the Late Shri Jagdishwar Nigam (I.C.S.) the freedom fighter of Ballia fame, also known for the land reforms he made after India's Independence.

Prof. Shatrughan Sarup Darbari and Susheila Darbari are known as the ideal couple.
They were married on the 2nd of February 1948 and celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in the year 2009.
They said the ingredients for the ideal marriage are -
- Complete TRUST in each other to the extent that they are willing to give their life for each other.
- Complete FAITH that their life partner will always be FAITHFUL AND
LOYAL to them and never leave them. Without this emotional security no
marriage can survive.
- The couple has to be completely devoted to one another and never even imagine having sex with someone else.
- The wife must never make extra financial demands, which the husband cannot afford within his income.
